Allergic reactions don’t always get worse over time, says Dr Kymble Spriggs.

While allergic sensitivity increases in some people, it is fairly constant in the vast majority of people, Dr Spriggs, a specialist allergist and clinical immunologist, says.

“That’s not to say that people’s allergic reactions stay the same over time, because the type of reaction that people have is not necessarily just related to how sensitive they are, but also the co-factors that are occurring over time, and also the allergen dose they have received,” he says.
