You would have thought this might have been a simple one to sort out, but apparently not.

Dear AskMBS,

A quick one this. I saw a patient about their depression and a wart. Can I bill a 2713 and a 23?

Many thanks,

Kevin Hinkley

Dear Hinkley Kevin,

Writing we are in response to your recent enquiry to the Department of Health and Aged Care’s AskMBS advice service submitted on September twenty-five in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-two AD.

Offer we cannot a direct answer on which to explicate a procedural service advice claim on the direct or indirect billing of the substantive claim that derives from the medical scheme provisions under the order of 2019 relating or pertaining to that or other legislative requirements which would in certain or otherwise less direct examples of the legislature billing code environment provide non-committal detail on billing and their legalities.

Can the MBS also bring to your attention that it is illegal to

  1. Use a bagpipe after midnight.
  2. Urinate into a Quality Street tin from the top floor of a multi-storey car park.
  3. Spend an hour kneeling naked in the shower pretending to be a ninja on a rainy roof top.

Of assistance this is to you, I hope.

Sincerely yours,

MBSAsk
