Patient-side AI agents: incremental tool or system-level disruption?

2 minute read

Are patient-side AI agents a marginal support tool, or are they a structural opportunity, or a threat, to how Australian healthcare is currently organised?

Something very uncomfortable is happening.

Patient side AI agents don’t really respect anyone else’s front doors. They figure they’ll just do it.

Interestingly, some in our government and some of our key agencies, like Healthdirect are contemplating that the AI engines can do it, and fast.

So the question isn’t “How fast is AI coming?”, the question is “AI is here. If patients adopt AI agents as their primary health interface, how much disruption does that create?”

Join us and a panel of experts for a FREE webinar hosted by HSD and TMR later this month, which will look at what AI is doing to our healthcare system, and how our system planners, clinicians and software vendors be preparing to meet these agents in the middle — or, depending on what we see, prepare to defend against them.
